· Are Clarins products tested on animals?
Clarins products are never tested on animals. Safe-use testing of our products is carried out in cell cultures that undergo in-vitro testing or substitute methods devised by Clarins experts. Besides these in-vitro methods, safe-use of our products is also guaranteed by Clarins' thorough knowledge of the raw materials used to create its products, and of course, by tests carried out on its volunteers. Clarins selects ingredients that will not endanger neither animals nor nature.
· After opening a product, how long can I keep it? How can I find out its expiration date?
In March 2005, a law went into effect regulating the labeling of cosmetic products. Products must now have a pictogram illustrating the length of time it may be kept after opening (when stored and used in proper conditions). This information is not required for products with a shelf life exceeding 30 months. You will note that on all of Clarins products, there is an 'open jar' pictogram containing a number followed by the letter ‘M’. This number indicates the amount of months, or 'M' that a product may be used after opening.
· What is the difference between a day cream and a night cream? Why do I need 2 different ones?
Regardless of your lifestyle, try to find the time to include a day cream in your morning routine, and a night cream before bedtime. Clarins day creams not only protect skin against pollution and the damaging effects of air conditioning, heating, and excess light, but also facilitate make-up application. Night creams provide moisture and gently revitalize the skin to ensure a more rested, more beautiful appearance in the morning.
