Products applied afterwards are better absorbed. How often should you exfoliate? 1-2 times a week is a good habit to get into. Don’t forget to exfoliate the bust, neck and backs of the hands. · On legs. Begin by applying the product at the ankles and work up towards the waist using gentle pressing movements (hands wrapped around the leg like a funnel). Oils are absorbed easier on damp skin and a very small amount of product is sufficient since only the absorbed product is active. If possible, end by spraying cool water up legs, beginning at the ankles and working up to the thighs.
· Upper body. Begin at wrists and work up to shoulders.
· On the abdomen. Smooth product over the abdomen in a clockwise direction.
· Clarins effective ‘sit-down shower’ to help fight sponginess. Warm your bathroom as much as possible. Apply Tonic Oil to the legs. Sit down in an empty bathtub and stretch your legs out in front of you, stopper in place. If you have a hand-held shower head, slowly spray cool water up and down the legs moving from the ankles to the buttocks. End when the water covers your thighs completely or better still, your waist.
